- Ownership of rights & royalties: You keep 100% of your rights and profits, so there is no splitting royalties or navigating complicated contracts.
But here’s the catch…
While going the DIY route is liberating, it also means you wear every hat, and that can get overwhelming fast.

- Stretching yourself too thin: Suddenly you’re not just the author, you’re also the editor, designer, marketer, publicist, and tech support. That’s a lot of roles for one person.
