Thank you for your interest in being included in our rolodex. Below, you will find some information below on what we expect of our rolodexers and a form to fill out in order to apply

Service Level Agreement (SLA)

At Self-Publishing School, we strive to give our students the best service possible. We want to be a catalyst to helping them achieve their author goals. As a preferred outsourcer, you have a unique privilege of exposure to thousands of authors every single year. Thus, we expect you to hold the same values and standards, if we are to continue recommending you. We never want to hinder, frustrate, or prevent a student from hitting their goals. Therefore, we have made this service level agreement for you, and for all of our outsourcers. Requirements are as follows:

Response Times: Initial student reach-outs to you will be responded to within 2 business days. Once a student is working with you, response times will be within 1 business day. You will default toward being proactive in your communication with the student; not reactive.

Lead Times / Expectation of Completion: Regardless of the size or scope of project, your service to the student will be completed within 30 days maximum. If the student is using more than 1 service with you (i.e. editing + cover design), that can be extended to 45 days, but not further.

  • Covers – prefer 1 weeks.
  • Formatting – prefer 1-2 weeks.
  • Editing – prefer 3 weeks.
  • Illustrations – prefer 2-3 weeks.

If service can’t be completed within 30 days, you need to let us know so we can mark you as “Inactive” aka not taking new projects. Then, it is up to you to find help or work extra hard to finish current projects so you can fulfill on that promise and be put back to active status. Once you are able to take on students again, let us know so we can update your status to “Active”. No project should ever be left unfinished. Keep lines of communication open always. If we can’t reach you, we will assume you are inactive.

Pricing: Your prices will be public to our students so they can determine if your service is affordable to them or not. This will also help you from having to answer “unqualified” inquiries. To be on the preferred outsourcer list, we request that students of SPS have better pricing than you have publicly available on any other sites (your site, Fiverr, Upwork, etc.). The minimum standard discount is 10%. Most outsourcers have 20% off discounts for SPS students.

Reviews: Students will be able to leave reviews and you will be able to respond. They will not be monitored for approval/disapproval. Students reserve the right to their opinion of your service.

Disclaimer: We reserve the right to monitor, update, and/or remove you from the preferred list at any time. Revocation may occur: if the quantity and/or severity of complaints is high, if someone is inflating prices and/or not providing the SPS discount, if someone cannot meet the lead times / expected completion requirements, if response times are too slow, etc.
